Exact Tools Launches Revolutionary Tools for Wet and Underwater Pipe Cutting
Exact Tools has introduced innovative products, the Exact PipeCut HYDRA pipe saws, designed for fast and safe pipe cutting in wet and underwater conditions.
Thanks to their advanced features, the Exact PipeCut HYDRA saws are ideal for challenging and wet environments, particularly at renovation sites where safe, quick, and reliable repairs are essential. These new tools are powered by a compact hydraulic power unit or can be connected to a hydraulic system of machinery, such as an excavator (max. 150 bar, 25 l/min).
Two models are available: the Exact PipeCut 360 HYDRA, which attaches to the pipe via a clamp, and the Exact Infinity HYDRA, designed for larger pipe sizes. During operation, the saw does not require support, and its rotating blade remains fully enclosed for safety.
“Using the Exact HYDRA does not require prior experience with hydraulic tools. The cutting precision is exceptional from the very first use. Even in difficult conditions, including underwater, this method is significantly safer than traditional approaches. The tool is easy to maintain, durable for intensive use, and repairable even after years of heavy-duty operation,” explains Kalle Kalaja, Product Manager at Exact Tools.
The Exact HYDRA saws efficiently cut materials such as steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, and various plastics. When equipped with the Exact Diamond Cut Bevel blade, the tools can simultaneously cut and bevel cast iron pipes, greatly speeding up the process. The new saws are suitable for pipes with a diameter of 75 mm and above.
The Exact HYDRA saws use a cold-cutting technique that preserves the material’s properties and durability. This method also prevents the creation of steel dust during the cutting process.
This innovation results from Exact Tools’ extensive R&D efforts. Known for their high-quality pipe saws, the company developed the HYDRA series to address specific needs and expectations highlighted by their global clientele.
“We listen closely to our customers’ feedback, and this is a great example of how we respond. A lightweight, compact, yet powerful hydraulic pipe saw addresses many industry challenges, and the market is eagerly anticipating this innovation. In the near future, we will also launch the large-pipe Infinity HYDRA model, featuring a wide chain system, which builds on the success of the electric versions in our Infinity series,” says Sami Ojamo, CEO of Exact Tools.
The first Exact PipeCut 360 HYDRA pipe saws will be available from retailers in late 2024, while the Exact Infinity HYDRA will be released in early 2025.
